SMALL GROUP RESOURCES
Here you can find a range of materials and resources available for you and your Small Group to use. These courses, teaching series, and materials are based on a variety of topics including books, themes and characters in the Bible, and Christian literature.

These resources can be used straight 'off the shelf' or you can use them to tailor them so that they're perfect for your group.
Course: Practicing the Way
It’s not that people don’t want to become like Jesus, or that people aren’t trying to become like Jesus.
It’s that we don’t know how to become like Jesus. We need a pathway to formation for the modern era. To that end, John Mark Homer has created free resources to help your community be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did.
Over eight sessions, you’ll form a foundational understanding of intentional spiritual formation. We’ll explore how to follow Jesus in our busy, distracted, and increasingly secular culture.
Each 30-minute session is comprised of teachings, guided discussion, tutorials, and voices from experts.
Teaching Series: Live Well
Wellbeing isn’t just a trendy, twenty-first century buzzword. It originates in the heart of God. This timely – and timeless – five-part series is centred on God’s plan for your wellbeing. Dave Smith takes a holistic, biblical approach to how to live with shalom – wellbeing in every area of life – exploring six different but interrelated areas of our lives – physical, emotional, spiritual, relational, financial, and vocational wellbeing.
There is a 50-Day Guide which you can purchase alongside the teaching series, a 10 minute video to watch every week, and Small Group notes to follow along to. You will need login details for 'RightNow Media' which is a site we have access to as a church. If you would like these details for your Small Group, please contact the office.

Sharing Communion Together
In Acts 2:42 it reads, 'They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.' Sharing Communion together is important as we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for the sake of the world.
If you don't feel confident in leading it, below is a link to a document laying out a way in which you can do so with a check list of items, scriptures, and some language you could use.
The Lectio Course
Join Pete Greig, founder of 24-7 Prayer, for The Lectio Course, an absorbing and inspiring five-part series that walks you through the practice of Lectio Divina. Learn the rhythms of reading, meditation, prayer, and contemplation as they apply to the Bible. Hear the astonishing stories of men and women who have encountered Jesus through this ancient yet astoundingly relevant spiritual habit. Discover how to hear God in His Word, so you can be equipped to take His love to the world.
Each session will feature biblical inspiration, an interview with someone who practises Lectio Divina, and some interaction around the theme of the session. The aim is to help you get more out of the Bible so you can develop a rhythm of walking and talking with God, hearing Him more clearly in your daily life. You will need login details for 'RightNow Media' which is a site we have access to as a church. If you would like these details for your Small Group, please contact the office.
Worship Music Playlist
Worship music, for some, is really powerful when connecting with God. It might be that you want to spend some time as a Small Group worshiping together but you don't have the means to do it. Well, below is a YouTube Playlist you could use.
Why not set up a little speaker with YouTube playing (be aware that adverts might start playing after some songs if you do not have a paid-for account), and spend some time worship or meditating together as you focus on God's goodness.
