IF YOU'RE NEW HERE

HELLO

WE ARE REALLY GLAD YOU ARE HERE

We are a friendly, growing church with people of all ages from Totton and the surrounding areas. We want you to know that you're not alone; we have new people of all ages come along for the first time quite often. We hope to meet you soon!

At Testwood, we are in exciting times. From the time in the late 90's when the whole church could fit into what is now our Sports Hall, we are now made up of more than 300 members and 400+ attending our weekend services, including 100+ children and young people!

We meet together every Sunday to worship, to learn from the Bible, and to build one another up. We normally meet at both 9:30am and 11:15am on our premises in Totton.

We often run Alpha courses where people from Totton get the chance to explore faith. We run TBC Fridays groups which are made up of Tots, Kids and Youth — these groups are always buzzing. We’re passionate about seeing people grow in their relationships with others and with God.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where is the church?

Testwood Baptist Church can be found at 283a, Salisbury Road, Totton, SO40 3LZ. For more information, including where to park, please read the 'Visit Us' page for more information.

Where can I park?

There is a car park round the back of the church. However there will also be parking attendants who will be able to sign-post you to overflow parking. Please read the 'Visit Us' page for more information.

Will I be asked to give any money?

Giving financially to the work of the church is a part of our worship, so there is an opportunity to give via the bags that are handed round, BUT you will not be expected to give if you come. There is no obligation for people attending to give anything. Many church members contribute directly through their bank accounts or by using the card machine found in the welcome area. There are ways to give online if you would like to donate to the ongoing work of the church. See our GIVING page.

Is there a children’s & youth programme?

What if I have other questions?

There is a very popular youth and children’s department at Testwood and we look forward to welcoming your child to one of our groups on a Sunday morning. We cater from babies right up to school year 6. We also have a youth department group for school years 7 to 11 that meets in the Youth Bar during the morning service. All our leaders are DBS checked.

We would love to hear from you with any queries, questions or comments you might have, so please do get in touch. Alternatively please continue to explore our website for more information about goes on at Testwood Baptist Church.

What will happen when I arrive?

We are a friendly church and everyone is welcome. When you come into the church building, you will be greeted at the door by a member of the welcome team in a blue t-shirt. The services on a Sunday normally start at 9.30am & 11:15am except for on the 5th Sunday of every month, we join together for one service at 10.30am. Also, during the Summer Holidays and the Christmas Break, we often revert back to one service at 10.30am too. If you're unsure, please do just ask a friend or give the office a ring on 023 8086 0320. Alternatively, you can check our church calendar for our next service.

Most morning services last for just over an hour. Our services have a contemporary feel and will normally involve singing along with a live band, praying which is lead from the stage, reading the Bible which will also be lead from the front, and an easy-to-listen to talk. If you need to leave during a service, please feel free to do so. There is also an area called the Hub which is on the right as you enter the building where you can go and sit and watch the service on the TV screen placed on the wall. If you’d like to know what our services look like and sound like, you can watch previous services online before you come. There is no assigned seating within the church; you can sit where you like, or if you are not sure where to go a steward will be happy to help you. Before, during and after our services tea, coffee and squash are served from the Hub.
