About Bob...
After 30 years in the blues industry, Bob has worked in all types of venue - from neighbourhood bars for a dozen or so patrons, theatres and concert halls, to vast open air festivals in front of thousands. He has toured throughout the U.K, Ireland, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the Falkland Islands. During 1996 Bob fulfilled a lifelong dream by taking his blues 'back home' to the American south - a string of dates were played in Louisiana and Texas, where he also recorded the album "Southern Style Homecooked Blues & Side Dishes" (Havic Records HIR CD 7001) a 'travelog' filled with a variety of blues and southern soul styles.
As a songwriter Bob Pearce is able to capture the life experiences his audiences can relate to, and perform them in a sincere and soulful way that reaches everyone on some level. He tells stories that you can understand and sometimes delivers them in a subtle down-home way, but he can also rock out with the best.
Born Again on 21st March 2001 - the new life of Bob Pearce as a Christian.
During 2002 Bob 'retired until further notice' from the blues circuit, during this time he would only play at church meetings and only sing gospel, praise and worship songs. Then, 3 years later he went back into the studio with a specially selected group of musicians to record his first album in seven years - the result was "Unchained" (Fuzzy Pig Records FPCD 009).
Knowing that God had given him the gift to sing and play, Bob began to promote the cd by playing a few local dates - only now, his material consists mostly of gospel - or, as someone once put it - Holy blues! Some of the old songs remain in the set and it's not unlikely that you'll hear some soul ballads and a bit of rock 'n' roll, but don't be too surprised if a couple of worship songs suddenly appear.
